How To Get On The First Page Of Google

#1. Get Facebook and Twitter Shares
Google is now paying a lot of attention to social media signals on your website. In fact the volume of Facebook and Twitter shares has a direct correlation to your position on the search engines.

One study has shown that Facebook shares carry a little more weight than Twitter shares. Don’t get hang up about this fact…just get people on Twitter and Facebook to share your content. I am part of this blogging community where 20,000 of us share each others content on Facebook and Google crawls all over our blogs….we get high search engine rankings….organic traffic and more sales…….how easy is that!

You can also automate this using tools like TribePro and Onlywire.

#2. Stop Spamming Your Site With Advertisements

If your blog or website has lots of adsense ads or calls to action above the fold that are distracting the reader, this will hurt your ranking. Google actually said that particularly prominent, distracting or above-the fold ads could lead to ranking problems. Ask yourself…does your website or blog shout “click here”, “buy this” “go here” …all over the place? Wouldn’t you click away as soon as you opened such a site?

#3. Quantity and Quality Backlinks

High search engine ranking optimization requires you to build lots of backlinks to your blog. The quantity of backlinks is still important but quality has also become just as vital.  These backlinks need to be acquired in a natural way – not like some robot created them in seconds.

Also ensure you vary your anchor text. If all the links pointing to your site have the same anchor text, this will raise alarm bells. Use stopwords like “click here”, “check this out” to mix things up a bit.
